Ratschings- peaceful and relax!

Ratschings is a quite new town that has its origins in late apl-settlements. It comprehends three valleys: Ridnauner Valley, Ratschings Valley, Jaufen Valley und Jaufenpass. .

Ratschings is the sixth largest town of South Tyrol as far as the surface is concearned.  Despite of this, the inhabitants are very few and spread about many little towns.

The lower part of the valley is 980 meters high, the highest 1.620 meters. Going on a trekking or climbing tour, your may reach even a height of 3.507 meters.

The peacefulness valleys. In these valley there is no traffic, all roads lead and end in the mountains. This is the reason why the three Ratsching`valleys may be called "the three peacefulness valleys in the arms of nature".
