Bike-day in Eisacktal Valley at 16th May 2010!

Ready, steady, pedal!

For the first time the cities of Eisacktal Valley in South Tyrol, Sterzing, Brixen and Klausen, organize a bike-day, which appeals particularly families to learn more about the surroundings in which they live or spend their holidays.

But the bike-day is not only about biking. At the same day also the International Day of Museums will take place. So many museums offer free entry. And why not go there on bicycle? Beside of that there will be organized some flea-markets, BMX-shows and bike-testivals.

Bike tours in Eisacktal Valley

The bike-day begins at 9.30 am and finishes at 6 pm. Who wants to can participate at the bicycle-tours. See here what the local tourism offices offer:

Sterzing:

• Short tour: 9,5 km from Sterzing to Wiesen and to Reifenstein Castles
• Long tour: 24,5 km from Sterzing to Wiesen and Mareit

Brixen:

• Short tour: 7,7 km round-tour through Brixen
• Long tour: 17,5 km from Brixen to Vahrn and back

Klausen:

• Short tour: 3,6 km round-tour through Klausen
• Long tour: 13,5 km from Klausen to Schrambach and back
