Enjoyment tour of North-South
Cycling from north to south on the bike-route Eisacktal
Normally a transalp-bike tour from north to south is very demanding and challenging. But thanks to the new bike-route Brenner-Bozen, also usual mountain bikers can sniff transalp-air!The middle difficult bike-route Eisacktal is part of the cross-border path Munich-Verona.
If you want to explore South Tyrol’s diversity we recommend to take the bike-route Eisacktal and to cycle from the cold north to the Mediterranean south. So it can happen that at Brenner, the starting point, lays still snow in spring. In the 20 km distant Sterzing however bikers can visit a medieval Old Town, shopping and sightseeing.
The next sights are Franzensfeste, an ancient fort, Brixen, South Tyrols bishop’s residence, Klausen, the artists-city and finally Bozen, the capital of South Tyrol.
