The Eisackvalley between art, culture and history
The Eisackvalley has always been a valley in between the middle-european and mediterranean culture.
Celtics,romans,venice merchants,german emperors went though this valley fallowed, later on, by various artists like Dürer, Goethe and Mozart.
All this people left someway their sign in the valley, that is the reason why the Eisackvalley is plenty of cultural and artistical marks from different periods and different people. The most famous ones: Albrecht Dürer, Michael Pacher, Bartholmè Till-Riemenschneider, Paul Troger,Matthäus Günter and a lot more.
There are also a lot of unknown artists though, who gave birth to wonderful buildings like castels, fortresses, nunneries, cloisters, churches and more.
