Autumn Time in South Tyrol

Autumn has come and in the Eisack valley that means traditional food and new wine. it is the season of the Törggelen.

When fall begins people here say that the fifth season is starting, the season when chestnuts and new wine become the real table´s protagonists . From the beginning of October to the middle of November restaurants offer to their guests new wine, chestnuts and speck, all  matched with the typical  south tyrolean dishes. Not to be missed are, after eating, the beautiful romantic walks through the fall colured woods.
That is the real Törggelen in South Tyrol!

Chestnuts season

During the Törggelen, besides wine, chestnuts become queens on south tyrolean tables. Guestkeepers use all of their fantasy to create new and delicious recepies made out of this fall´s fruits.
